A commemorative concert dedicated to the victims of the Khojaly genocide took place in London with organizational support of the European Azerbaijani Association (TEAS) within the framework of the international campaign “Justice for Khojaly”.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.
Among the attendees of the commemorative concert were officials, employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Great Britain, representatives of Azerbaijani organizations operating in this country, members of the public, our fellow-citizens residing in London, and students of various universities.
TEAS director Lionel Zetter and chairperson of the European Azerbaijani Association Tale Heydarov delivered a speech before the concert.
Azerbaijani and Western classical music was performed at the concert by Azerbaijani musicians Sabina Rakcheyeva, Nazrin Rashidova (violin), Rafig Rustamov (tar), Gunel Mirzayeva, Ayan Salahova (piano), Jamal Aliyev (cello), Seljan Nasibli (soprano), as well as Alexander Germanovich (piano) and “Deco” ensemble from the repertoire of Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Vasif Adygozalov, G. Pergolesi, and J. Masseneti.
