A crowded pan-European Karabakh rally was held on February 23rd in Luxembourg Square in Brussels, the capital of the Kingdom of Belgium, at the initiative of diaspora organizations operating in more than 20 countries.
The event was attended by our compatriots living in Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and other European countries, as well as members of the diaspora of nations friendly to Azerbaijan.
At the rally on the eve of the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, participants shouted "Justice for Khojaly!", "Azerbaijan wants peace!", "Do not kill innocent babies!", "Stop Armenian lies!", "Stop the occupation!", "We want to return to Karabakh!" , "Freedom for Dilqam and Shahbaz!", etc. They chanted slogans and made calls to the European Parliament and other international organizations.
Speaking at the rally, our diaspora representatives demanded an international legal and political appraisal of the Khojaly genocide committed by Armenia 27 years ago, and called for pressure on Armenia to return the occupied Azerbaijani lands, restore rights of Azerbaijanis displaced from their homes. The resolution adopted at the end of the event was presented to the officials of the European Parliament.
During the rally, brochures containing information on the bitter consequences of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as material and moral losses suffered in Azerbaijan as a result of Armenia's aggressive policy, were distributed to residents and tourists.
